WASTING ALL OUR RESOURCES ON LEARNING WAR IS WRONG
A monument stands in front of the United Nations declaring the world need not learn war any longer. The quotes are from the Bible. You can be certain that if they were founding the UN today they would never choose the Bible for such a prominent quotation source. But historically the prophets stated God's intentions, which are coming soon:
Micah 4:3, “…and He will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” (ASV)
This will soon be a huge blessing for all nations. Think of the tremendous amount of money spent on learning and practicing for war. What a burden will be removed from the backs of governments in the near future. This is just one of the things from which Christ will unburden mankind at His second coming.
Isaiah 11:9, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.” (NKJV)
Remember, the military's job is to protect us by blowing up targets and killing people. The infantry by attack and defense, strategies are built around the concept of the “killing zone.” God will settle all disputes in the future as Micah describes.
Micah 4:1-2, “But in the latter days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of house shall be established on the top of the mountains…and peoples shall flow unto it. 2 And many nations shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem;” (ASV)
Something even more extreme came to the world of warfare in the modern age.
TOTAL WAR AGAINST TOTAL POPULATIONS
The twentieth century brought in total war against total populations (WWI & WWII)for total victory. The various governments lost so many people early that they could not afford to settle the war. The dead bodies just kept piling up. The human disaster was beyond anything previous in human history. It meant all-encompassing mobilization of mass armies, entire economies, domestic societies demanded by the high stakes of total war were required. These wars grew like an infection. Could something even worse be in mankind's final conflict?
Revelation 9:16, “Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.” (NKJV)
The verbal icons and imagery of this book makes it hard to pin down exactly what the visions mean, but could this be an army where they have drafted hundreds of millions? Regardless, in the end of the battles men will no longer learn to train for war, the peace of the coming Messiah will reign. All nations will come under the rulership of the Messiah and disputes and crucial decisions will be handled from Jerusalem. The world will live in peace.
THE GOOD NEWS – OR GOSPEL – IS THAT WE WILL HELP BRING IN UTOPIA
True believers will be part of the ruling team that will end the learning of war.
Revelation 5:9-10, “And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 And have made us kingsand priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.’”
Revelation 2:26-27, “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.” (KJV)
Church members for years have speculated upon which positions of leadership in the millennium will they be given just like the disciples of Jesus did.
Matthew 19:27-28, "Then answered Peter and said unto him, 'Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?' 28 And Jesus said unto them, 'Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.'"
Revelation 20:4-6, “And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them…who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years…6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection…but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shallreign with Him a thousand years.”
ONLY A FOOL WOULD TOTALLY DISARM IN SATAN'S AGE
All nations need law and order and protection from evil regimes and criminals. DE-funding the police is insanity. Unilaterally disarming could be unwise also, depending on your neighboring nations.
Romans 13:1-4, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities…3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4...But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain…an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.” (NKJV)
Christians should respect our police and our military who are instruments to maintain law and order.
Romans 13:6-7, “For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.”
It is necessary to have armed guards in this society to prevent chaos and disorder. Therefore some level of police and military are necessary until the Messiah returns to Earth.

Mankind's future is a bright one.
