The Powerful Last Chapter of the Bible: Revelation 22 And Its Warning

CLOSURE OF THE PROCESS OF BRINGING MANY SONS TO GLORY

God revealed to the Apostle John, colorfully, the closing of the salvation process for all men and women in this last chapter. Using the tree of life mechanism to convey immortality to mankind, all who remain faithful will be healed of mortality.

Revelation 22:2-4, “In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.” (NKJV)

This availability of immortality is the closure to the tough love experience of mankind on the way to Son-ship in the family of God.

Hebrews 2:10, “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory…”

Romans 8:18, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

As one would expect, the last chapter of the Bible gives us closure on this process. We will all live in the brightness and glory of God's presence and reign forever with Him.

Revelation 22:5, “There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.”

Wow! Believers have a very, very bright future as Sons and inheritors of a nearly endless universe.

Revelation 22:6, “Then he said to me, ‘These words are faithful and true.’ And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.”

Many clerics of this world contend that believers need not obey God as expressed in the Bible –– just have faith. Grace alone they say, will save us. But what does the last, closing chapter of the Bible state?

Revelation 22:7, “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Revelation 22:15, “But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”

God removes the unrepentant sinners. Therefore, what kind of believer does the Bible commend with protection and praise?

Revelation 3:8-9, “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 … I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.”

True worshipers of God do two things: one, keep or obey God's word the Bible, and two, do not deny the name of Jesus Christ. We must believe in Christ!   Some day that may take courage, even in free America!  A misinformed liberal reporter on TV said our rights come from the government, not God and the TV panel all agreed. Unbelievable! The last chapters say to keep the teachings of this book.

WHY IS THE BOOK OF REVELATION UNSEALED, UNLIKE DANIEL’S?

Daniel the prophet was told to seal his end time prophecies but not John, regarding the book of Revelation, why?

Revelation 22:10, “And he said to me, ‘Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.’

The angel told John not to seal his book, unlike in Daniel's end of age prophecies. Why? John must leave the book open so all can read and benefit from the words of this book. However, in Daniel's work, the information was not for his time, 540 BC. But the information in the book of Revelation is definitely for us and even more so as Christ's return gets closer. We should expect greater polarization in the world between the true followers of Jesus and those with false Satanic beliefs such as emperor worship. Note II Thess. 2:2-8. We will be told to worship the government and its leader, not the Biblical God.

A STRONG WARNING REGARDING THE SACREDNESS OF THE WORD

Chapter twenty-two ends with a stern warning regarding intentional distortions of the words of this prophecy:

Revelation 22:18-19, “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Therefore translators should be very cautious about how they handle the precious word's of Almighty God.

Deuteronomy 4:1-3, “Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live… You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. … for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.”

REMEMBER, ALL OF GOD'S WORDS ARE SACRED AND BETTER NOT BE VIOLATED.
